Death: August 12, 1693, Noroton, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA
The son of MATTHIAS and MARY (TINKER) SENSION (ST. JOHN), he was baptized on June 10, 1633 at St. Nicholas Cole Abbey, London, England. He came with his parents to Dorchester, Colony of Connecticut sometime around 1633/34.

He married first ELIZABETH STANLEY on January 1, 1656 in Norwalk, daughter of TIMOTHY STANLEY and he married second Dorothy (Smith) Blakeman, widow of Francis Hall and John Blakeman, around January of 1693. After his death, she married Isaac Moore.


Mark St. John was made a freeman in 1664, a constable in 1669, and a representative to the colonies from Norwalk in 1672,. He was the constable of Norwalk at the time of his father's death, and he certified the death date of his father in 1669. At the Norwalk Town Meeting held March 5, 1657, Mark St. John (Sension) and three others were to provide a good and sufficient "wolfe-pitt". He received Lot #20 in the Norwalk division of land.The following children or their husbands were named in his will: Elizabeth wife of Samuel Galpin & Edward Camp, Sarah wife of Samuel Keeler, Joseph St. John, Rhoda wife of Matthew Marvin, Lois wife of Samuel Carter, Rachel wife of John Judd, Anna wife of John Benedict.
