[Ancestral Link: Lura Minnie Parker (Stagge), daughter of Minnie May Elmer (Parker), daughter of Mark Alfred Elmer, son of William Elmer, son of John Elmer, son of Mary Kibbe (Elmer), daughter of Mary Pratt (Kibbe), daughter of Ebenezer Pratt, son of Ebenezer Pratt, son of Thomas Pratt, son of Thomas Pratt.]
Thomas Pratt, born ca. 1615, probably England. In Watertown, Massachusetts as early as 1647 when he took Freeman's Oath, said in B#12 (GENEALOGICAL REGISTER OF FIRST FAMILIES OF NEW ENGLAND; John A. Farmer; Lancaster, Massachusetts, Carter, Andrews and Company; 1829) to be father of Thomas of Weymouth. Much confusion in several ref. re Thomas of Watertown. However, B#80 (HISTORY OF IPSWICH,NEW HAMPSHIRE, 1735-1914;;Charles H. Chandler and Sarah Fiske Lee; Fitchburg. Massachusetts;Sentinel Printing Company 1914) states that he was son of Joshua of Plymouth, pure and erroneous guesswork. He died 8 February 1705/6 which should certainly prove he was not the same as [but was prob. father of] Thomas who died 1692 in Sherborn. This premise is also presented in similar terms in B#163(ABRAHAM, FATHER OF USALL....A PRATT FAMILY HISTORY; Kenneth Charles Pratt; Oxford, Connecticut; 1968).Probably father of Thomas born 1636.
