He was a son of Jonathan Peake, Sr. and Sarah W. French. It is hard to say if he was born in the mother colony Roxbury (now Boston), Massachusetts or Roxbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He married Hannah Leavens about 1687-1688 and they had about ten children. Jonathan, Jr. died when he was about 81 years old and his wife died when she was about 90 years old.
