Roger Merwyn, who was born as early as 1430 and left a wife Matilda. His will, written in Latin, is recorded at Ipswich, county of Suffolk. He directed that his body should be buried there in the parish church at St. Stephen's, which is one of the oldest churches in Ipswich, and is mentioned in "Domesday Book." Much interesting matter may be found in the "Marvin English Ancestry,'' published in 1900 by William I. R. Manvin.
