Daniel Kibbe served as a Private. " From Tolland County he went into the Revolutionary army and served in Capt. Wills Company of col. Spencer's Regiment, and was engaged eight months, participating in the battle of Bunker Hill."

Daniel Kibbe, son of James and Hannah (Kelsey) Kibbe, was born September 1, 1718/20, near Somers, Connecticut. He was married there, October 29, 1741/2, to Mary Pratt. She was born October 3, 1721, the daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Wood) Pratt of Somers. Daniel had a saw and grist mill on a branch of the Scantic River. He served in the Revolutionary War, and became a respected and substantial citizen in his community. Mary died October 10, 1803, and Daniel died in Somers, December 15, 1810. They are buried in North Cemetery, Somers.
